A strong woman can often come off as intimidating. She knows what she wants in life and is on a mission to get it. Most likely she works hard, is independent, and doesn’t need a relationship to define her! While she might not need a relationship to make her happy, you should not confuse this with her not wanting one and this is where my cue comes in to help you guys understand what makes a strong women intimidating to man.

Recently I had a guy contact me asking advice regarding a girl he is really interested, he is very shy, felt that he is slightly out of his depth and did not know how to approach her about a date. Even worse he is a fan of lift and carry, something which we all know as a rule of thumb is generally a DEFINITE secret in the early days of dating unless the lady in question is pretty open minded to new things.

Strong woman still crave connection and wants someone to love and spend time with. Remember this, so if you are on the prowl for strong women, in the early days of dating or perhaps married to one, here are a few pointers I thought might be useful to remember:

Strong Woman are…

Distant at First

A strong woman may have walls built up that take time to break down. She knows how to protect herself, so know that trust might be a longer process than you’d like. A strong woman can also be afraid of being hurt. If she’s keeping you at a distance, that’s why. Once she feels that she can fully trust you, you might see a whole other, softer side to her. A strong woman may also feel conflicted about wanting to need you at first. Give her time to work through it. It might not be that she isn’t interested after all!

A strong woman is usually self-sufficient. Expect her to want to take control every once in a while and handle situations on her own. We know how to take care of ourselves. She will love having you around, but don’t get offended if she doesn’t need or want your help. We can be stubborn, remember this!

Open Minded

A strong woman is often creative and can have an open mind to new ideas or conversations. It is important to therefore mix things up a bit as dinner at the same restaurant every weekend probably won’t interest her for long. Try to be creative with your ideas for things to do.

Strong woman accept responsibility, and will expect you to do the same. FACT. Excuses aren’t an option. We are usually also very comfortable in asking for what we want, so expect an open and often direct line of communication, with a little sugar-coating thrown in every once in a while when needed. Its not attitude, it’s just called a no bull shit approach to life…

Strong woman know what they want, and is most likely on a mission to get it. Goals are important to them. Strong women will therefore most likely expect you to have them also. They’ll want to know what your ambitions are, and how you’re going to work to achieve them.

We love being with you, but we also need time alone time! This is to relax and recharge, so try to understand when we want a night alone. This is the one you guys usually can’t get their head around, especially if in the early days of dating.

Yes we have some fight in us! So, when the going gets tough, don’t expect us to throw the towel in straight away. Not being afraid of conflict, this also means we will not always be willing to agree with things you say even if it is over something stupid! This creates passion between people, however as if we all agreed on everything ALL of the time, even simple things such as what to watch on TV or where to go for coffee life would be pretty boring!

A strong woman might come off as intimidating at first, but just like everyone else, she has insecurities and vulnerabilities. Don’t think that her strength means that she doesn’t have feelings too.

So, it appears that I haven’t blogged in a while…Sorry guys, things can be pretty busy around tour season. I thought it would therefore be nice of me to give you guys a little update, on Sara’s Travels.

What I have been up and have in store for you. I do have plenty of other posts (I promise!) on my desktop, waiting to be edited for those of you who prefer the more featured kind of articles.

I find my brain works overtimes, when I am away on tour and can get mini brainwaves and times when I feel compelled to start writing on a subject matter I feel particularly drawn. This happens during dead time or perhaps when flying. I think it comes from meeting you guys, where there is always lots of energy and especially after special encounters or interactions with clients, I feel touched by something or almost like I understand you guy’s more. Such results in plenty of jimbo jambo on my desktop which hopefully can be spun into fine masterpieces.

Where does time go?

Germany, feels so LONG ago now. even though it has only been a matter of weeks. I had planned on vlogging this tour, after the good response to my London Vlog but ooh how things never go to plan. D Day was approaching and I was starting to look forward to my trip and fully organized, until something beyond my control happened.

I received a couple of emails from clients informing me that Munich Airport and all its ground staff, firemen, passport control etc was on strike and 1700 flights had been cancelled. Fear set in, as I did not want to miss my trip.

I hate letting people down, however knew that Norwegian was the only airline who fly direct from Alicante to Munich every few days and I was stuffed if I could not fly. I automatically looked into flying from Madrid, but with connections the flight times where ridiculous and it did not have me there much faster. This was my plan B.

I was already thinking the worst

Off to the airport I set in the morning with anticipation; I had not been informed of any changes so I was taking it all was going to plan. Here, I found my flight delayed, however I could deal with this, at least it scheduled to take off.

All did go to plan however, and after a couple of hours of waiting around, I was Munich bound. I guess this has taught me to always expect the unexpected when planning tours and think ahead for alternative actions if needed.

Upon landing, Munich looked very beautiful, lots of greenery and forestry. It kind of reminded me of Ireland. On the ground again, I was off to meet a special someone. At the airport, this was the first time I have ever had a client greet me, which was actually very nice and refreshing. I don’t like imposing on people, always thinking I can fend for myself.

Perhaps the alpha female trait in me however he insisted he would give me a lift and has done this for many session wrestlers. I wasn’t complaining when I seen the fancy car he drove. I could almost of got used to this being lifted and laid. Thank you K, you were a star.

It’s not all glamour, I was there to wrestle

Down to business, and the sweat fest began. All sessions went great and I must say you guys were a pleasure to session with, truly. Apart from the taunting of my Northern Irish accent, apparently it’s not real English…. Lol. Great sports, strong, plenty of stamina and friendly in nature. I know you guys always get a reputation for being rude at times in Europe, however I did not find this.

One guy explained to me that the German’s are straightforward thinkers and have a take no bullshit approach. I too am like this, so maybe that’s why I found I got on so well with you. I must say though, that you as a country definitely rank number one for wrestling fanatics.

As far as wrestling goes this is pretty much all you guys are into, FACT. What I mean by this is that out of all the sessions I did, just one was for feats of strength and the rest wrestling. No lift and carry, muscle worship etc. It is funny though how you can notice trends in countries.

New ventures in the month ahead

Next month I am looking forward to visiting Anna Konda’s studio in Berlin. She has gave me a brief insight into the history of wrestling and how it was an entertainment factor in Germany. Where many would pay to go watch matches of ladies tear it out. I am looking forward to interviewing her and getting to hear and discuss what her thoughts are on various topics to do with the sport. Perhaps this is related to why you guys love it so much.

I must say, when I got back from Munich though, my body did feel like it had hit a wall. My muscles were sore from having constantly tensed or squeezed them as well as using brutal force. I can’t say my first training session back at the gym was great. After a week of rest and a family visit from my brother and his friends from home I was ready for action again and jet set to Zurich.

Switzerland funny enough is always a country I have wanted to visit however never in my lifetime did I think I would be doing so as a session wrestler. It is definitely very quaint and I get the vibe it is very eco friendly etc. however it was still not how I imagined it to be, maybe it was because there was no snow and the sun was shining.

One country, yet so many languages

One thing I did find strange yet unique is that in Switzerland there is four languages Spoken German, French, Italian and a kind of Heidi hi language spoken in the mountains. So it could be very easy to get confused! Especially as I speak none off these. All sessions all went to plan and I enjoyed a vast array of sessions in Zurich. You guys are big muscle worship fans!

The day I arrived back from Zurich, more family arrived in Spain – my dad. The past week, I have therefore been a daddy’s girl and had to get up to the usual things and feeling a bit like a tourist in my own country. It is always nice though, as it forces you to do things you would not think to and take for granted as you fall into your daily routine. Things are always pretty intense though when family is over and it is hard to get things done, so I apologize from my absence online.

What is in the pipeline for me?

New Tour Dates

You may have noticed, I have posted new tour dates for June. After Madrid and Milan this month. I will be heading to Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin and Stockholm at the start of June. I am hoping to also tour Dublin and London, either late June or the start of July again as well as Germany.

When In Berlin, I am also looking forward very much to meeting the respectable Anna Konda. Filming content for my website, going up against her – where she will probably kick my ass! However that is all part of the fun as you guys know too well. Topics I am hoping to cover are feats of strength, training, muscle worship and of course wrestling. So if you guys have any ideas, don’t be shy comment below or drop me a line via email.

Sara’s Travels – USA Tour

America is on the cards and I am going to make it happen this year. Hoping to announce dates this June. I am still trying to not get too carried away with places to visit, as I don’t want to be that tourist who underestimates the size of it. NYC, Vegas, Chicago, Florida and California are places I am pretty certain I should be visiting either September or October time.

Looking forward to hopefully making my debut on a few popular wrestling and scissor related sites, so watch this space. Any guys who would be willing to help with sponsorship for playtime, would be greatly appreciated.

I also am working on something else in the background; the concept has been decided on and is now to be developed. It is still a long way off but this is something I have wanted to do to. Helping the wrestling community and particularly that in Europe. It should benefit session wrestlers but most importantly you guys!
